From June 20 - 22 2012, Drs. Parker and Cherry were in Bologna, Italy to attend and present at the first edition of the "Flowpath-Hydrogeology Pathways" Conference.  This conference was hosted by the Earth and Geo-Environmental Sciences Department of the University of Bologna with the purpose of activating a forum for discussion and knowledge sharing among international institusions concerning groundwater issues.  The conference featured oral presentations and poster displays by prominent members of the international Hydrogeology community from both research and corporate institusitons.  

G360 has fostered a collaborative research relationship with several Italian Universities over the past few years and iparticipation in Flowpaths served to strengthen these relationships as well as increase the international exposure of the University of Guelph and G360 to help foster new relationships and future opportunities.

Dr. Parker and Dr. Cherry have were invited to this conference as keynote speakers and both gave 1 hour presentations summarizing the history and future direction of their research.  Dr. Parker's presentation focused on Contaminant Plume Behaviour in Fractured Sedimentary Rock and Dr. Cherry focused on the Role of Aquitards in Groundwater Flow Systems.
